Department of Rachana Sharir (Anatomy) :

The Department of Rachana Sharir (Anatomy) endorse use of information technology and advanced methods in teaching and learning.  Here we use the real dead bodies for acquiring the gross anatomy knowledge and understand our ancient facts of Ayurveda. The department is also involved in collaboration for learning, teaching and research activities.

Our mission is to build up and upgrade knowledge in the field of Rachana Sharir by enriching education in Gross, Developmental, Microscopic, Imaging anatomy and Ayurveda education.

We will strive for excellence in Rachana Sharir as well as in Anatomy education by:

• Improvement of skills by practice and training on cadavers and dummy models.
• Developing and using the most effective and modern multi-media teaching techniques available, including web-based instruments.
• Acting as a resource for our clinical colleagues.

Future Planning:

• To upgrade the department as Post graduate learning centre in Rachana Sharir.
• To develop the department and Institute as body donation centre.
